Casa de las Artesanias in Morelia, Michoacan is
our favorite crafts store in all of Mexico. While we
prefer buying crafts directly from the artisans, this
store always tips us off to people in smaller
villages we may not have heard of. They carry
crafts from all over Michoacan and surrounding
states. These three ceramic mermaids or "sirenas"
caught our eye. Unfortunately, the artist didn't
sign them so we are still in the dark about their
origen.
