Some 30 years ago, a young man in the pueblo of Ocumichu
decided he would create clay figuras of diablitos. This idea
spread among the potters of the town and remains so to
this day. The clay is not fired and thus is suseptible to
breaking as was the case here. Fortunately, it was only a
leaf from the plant behind the scene of a man and demon
who are fighting it out, perhaps for the affections of the
senorita at right.
